Tour Description
Gatun Lake Boat Ride (Monkey Islands Visit)
What to expect
Our bilingual guide will pick you up to start an amazing journey in the Panamanian Jungle, 45 minutes away from the city. You will embark a small boat at the Gamboa pier, to navigate through the Gatun Lake, one of the most important in the world; an artificial lake where the huge vessels transit the Panama Canal.
You will detour into secret waterways to find small islands, monkeys’ favorites. Capuchin, Titi and howler monkeys can be seen jumping on the trees above. Many times, they become curious of the visitors and venture down to take a closer look. You’re also likely to encounter a rich collection of tropical bird life, plus capybaras, iguanas, crocodiles, among other species.
